Quietly located, family-run, nestled among meadows and mountains – this wonderful spot between Fügen and Uderns has always been a gift: sunny, open, peaceful.
Over the years, the house, our family, and our vision for Stacherhof grew. We wanted to create an aparthotel that combines freedom with comfort. First came spacious country-style apartments; later, the first suites. Our direction for Stacherhof became increasingly clear: high-quality, authentic, personal.
In recent years, we’ve continued to develop and enhance the experience:
- New chalet suites with refined design
- Expansion of the wellness area, including the panoramic Gipfelglitzer relaxation room
- A natural swimming pond set in the spacious garden
Plenty of wood, natural materials, a welcoming atmosphere. A traditional four-star, family-run hotel where roots, values, and authenticity truly matter.

Curious about who you’ll be staying with at our hotel in Fügen? Gitti, Hansjörg, Sandra, and Marietta introduce themselves through three simple questions that reveal you who we are: personal, honest, perhaps a little surprising. This way, you get to know us even before we welcome you at reception.

- What is your favourite sound in the hotel?
I especially love the gentle rustling of the palm trees on our terrace in a light breeze; it immediately makes me feel like I’m on holiday.
- What do you do when no one needs anything from you for a moment?
When no one needs anything for a while, I grab Hansjörg or the girls and enjoy a cosy cup of coffee of together.
- What is your favourite time of day and why?
Early morning is my favourite. I love the calm, and I take pleasure in preparing the breakfast buffet for our guests.

- What could you do for hours without ever getting tired?
Gardening always does it for me. A little pruning, adjusting a few plants, just being outdoors. It always makes me feel good.
- What would you never remove from the hotel?
The Swiss stone pine parlour. It has always been a central feature of the hotel, and no matter how much we change or modernize, the house simply wouldn’t be the same without it..
- Your insider tip?
Alpengasthof Loas. A beautiful hike to the hut, and at the top – you have to try the legendary “Schnitzel”!.
- What do you always have in your bag?
My mobile phone – my constant companion at Stacherhof. I use it to capture special moments, record spontaneous memories, and stay a little connected at all times.
- Your favourite type of guest?
Guests who arrive with a smile and immediately feel at home. Those who appreciate the little details, have a positive outlook, and see the beauty in everyday moments.
- The restaurant you love the most?
Landgasthof Linde in Stumm im Zillertal. The excellent cuisine and charming atmosphere make every visit special. Summer evenings in the garden are particularly lovely. I also celebrated my wedding there, so the place has a very personal and affectionate meaning for me.
- What is your favourite thing to recommend to guests?
Heading out for dinner in the evening and trying the local inns. It’s the perfect way to enjoy regional specialties and take home culinary memories.
- Which corner of Stacherhof is all yours?
My favourite spot in summer? Definitely the area with our colourful, edible flowers. I love caring for them and using them to decorate the breakfast buffet.
- Your Instagram moment?
My Instagram moment is when the breakfast delicacies are laid out and the morning sun shines through the windows. I just have to capture that on my phone.

Stacherhof is your getaway to adventure. Ideally located between the Spieljoch, Hochzillertal, and Hochfügen hiking and skiing areas. Take advantage of our free hiking rucksacks, complimentary city bikes, and rental e-bikes. In winter, enjoy the Zillertal Superski pass available in-house, plus a ski room and shuttle service. The perfect base camp for those who head out in the morning and unwind in the spa in the evening.
The location makes all the difference. Nestled in the Zillertal valley, with mountain views and a natural garden, the atmosphere slows you down. Here, you hear the silence. And the occasional chirping of birds. Laughter in between. Everything that’s beautiful.
