How does this sound? After a day full of holiday adventures in Zillertal, you return to a hotel with sauna – for wellness and warmth. Stacherhof dedicates 200m2 to its sauna world, with three options, each with its own distinct experience.
The Finnish infusion sauna, heated to 90°C, uses pressed mountain hay from the surrounding meadows. This classic heat penetrates deeply, releases tension, and lets the day flow out of your muscles.
If you prefer something gentler, the bio sauna at 60°C with higher humidity promotes circulation and well-being. Herbal aromas fill the room, making every breath a bliss.
Finally, the salt sauna combines lower temperatures with salty air radiating from wall-mounted salt panels, soothing your skin and airways.
Gipfelglitzer relaxation room
Between sauna sessions, this room is entirely yours. Its name comes from the view through the large windows: the Zillertal peaks in daylight, and the stars above them at night. To the south, your gaze falls on the swimming pond; in summer, the water sparkles between the sunbathing lawns. You sink into the elegant wooden wellness loungers or retreat into cosy niches. The panoramic terrace connects the relaxation room with the mountain world outside, letting fresh air in after the heat indoors. Here, you don’t have to do anything – just be. The Gipfelglitzer relaxation room opens daily from midday, inviting you to lean back, read a book, and soak in the mountain views.
In between
Every sauna session asks for a break. Cool down quickly with the ice from the crash ice fountain, or enjoy the experience showers with their different water jets to match different moods. At the tea bar, you’ll find soothing drinks, and the drinking water fountain provides fresh water straight from the Stacher spring. This keeps your body well hydrated, so it can fully surrender to the warmth again.
