Three ways to get to Stacherhof
We’re located in Fügen, on the edge of the village where meadows meet mountains. Some call it a quiet dream location. We call it: just right. In front of you stretches the full panorama of the Zillertal mountains i. Behind you lies the village with its bakery, supermarket, and mountain railway. The ski bus stops 100m from the hotel. Mayrhofen is 20km to the south. Innsbruck 45km to the west. You’re right in the heart of Zillertal’s holiday region. And yet, it’s peaceful enough to catch your breath and simply enjoy the view.
- A12 Inntal motorway, exit Wiesing/Zillertal
- B169 southwards into Zillertal
- After ten kilometres, reach Uderns and turn right, heading north
- Dorfstraße Uderns, turn right towards Kapfing, after 500 metres turn left into Schreiberweg, then left into Albeinerweg
- At the very end of the street: Aparthotel Stacherhof

- From Munich: 140km, about one and a half hours’ drive
- From Salzburg: 160km, about two hours’ drive
- From Innsbruck: 50km, about 45 minutes
- From Vienna: 450 kilometres, plan around five hours
- All motorways lead to the A12 motorway, which takes you straight to Tyrol.
Board the train with Jenbach as your final station. From there, transfer to the Zillertalbahn, a narrow-gauge railway dating back to 1902 that’s still in operation. It slowly chugs through the valley, passing farms, church steeples, and mountains. After about twenty minutes, you’ll reach the Fügen/Hart stop. We’ll pick you up if you let us know in advance.
The Zillertalbahn may be slower than driving, but it gives you the chance to look out the window instead of watching the road. Or read a book, doze off, and start feeling at home before you even arrive.
- Airport Innsbruck: 52km away from us. Land, pick up your rental car, head east on the A12, exit at Wiesing, take the B169 – and you’re here.
- Or Munich airport: Larger and further away, but with more connections. From there, take the train or drive through the Inntal valley to reach us. It takes about two hours instead of one. But that’s perfectly fine.
