Fügen is known and loved by locals and tourists as an eventful ski experience. There are two ski areas for you to explore. Each one has its own character so you can find the terrain that excites you. Here is a short description of each…
Hochfügen Hochzillertal—the best connection!
This ski area offers the highest quality. It has received numerous awards because of all it has to offer. Hochfügen Hochzillertal guarantees snow into the month of May due to its altitude of between 1,500 to 2,500 m, and it provides the most modern comforts for all athletes and adventurers.
Long lines are a thing of the past because the lifts transport skiers safely and quickly to the top of the runs. There is plenty of fun to be had in 166 km of ski runs. Whether you are on classic skis, carving skis, or a snowboard, the once separate, but now combined ski area of Hochfügen Hochzillertal offers the finest ski runs.
Take a break in one of the ski lodges or panorama restaurants and enjoy the playful and sunny winter wonderland of ski and mogul runs for powder lovers and off-piste freeriders alike.
Family ski area Spieljoch
Spieljoch is the “family-fun mountain” of this region. With 7 ski lifts and 8 ski runs it offers a quainter atmosphere compared to the extensiveness of Hochfügen Hochzillertal. Because of its charm it has become a best kept secret for families.
The base station area is perfect for beginners, with magic carpets and easy downhill runs for young learners.
There is also a guest kindergarten.
But even advanced skiers enjoy Spieljoch with its 21 km of perfectly groomed slopes, 7 ski lifts and powder runs. Spieljoch offers you the longest ski run of the Zillertal to complete your day. A 7 km diversified route leads you directly to Fügen. The ski feeling will linger in your memory as you fall asleep after a day on the slopes.
Debutants of the snow
At Spieljoch children as young as 4 years old can learn how to plow ski. The ski instructors of the “First Holiday Region Zillertal” know how to combine fun and skiing–as a result, success on the practice slopes and in the ski kindergarten just comes naturally.
Perfect for baby: The guest kindergarten is located directly within the ski areas. Your little ones will be taken care of in the best way if they are still a little too young to ski. You will be reassured knowing you can stop in at any time to say hello from the bottom of the runs.
Still not enough?
With the SuperSkiPass for the entire Zillertal you can extend the offering to include:
649 kilometres of slopes throughout the Zillertal, comprising 74.4 km of black slopes, 410.8 km of red slopes and 164 km of blue pistes at 550 to 3,250 metres above sea level.
